MEET EU is hosting 8 virtual European Expert Career Panels, aiming to help young people identify and prepare themselves for transatlantic careers. Panelists include European business leaders, EU Member State Consulate and EU Delegation officials, and experts on trade and investment, digital economy, future of mobility, future of work, climate change, and research and innovation.

The panels will appoint a chair and vice chair from among their members. Those leadership positions will also run for three-year terms. The publication of the terms of the expert panel marks another small step forward in the EU’s efforts to get ready for MDR, which comes into effect in May.

The Expert Panel aims to support DG Health and Food Safety in its efforts towards evidence-based policy-making, to inform national policy making in improving the quality and sustainability of health systems and to foster EU level cooperation to improve information, expertise and the exchange of best practices. Expert panels are intended to support European regulators, European Union Member States, Notified Bodies as well as manufacturers and CE Mark certification applicants regarding MDR and IVDR compliance and enforcement. Designation of Expert Panels was established by the EC in September 2019 via Commission Implementing Decision (EU) 2019/1396. The EU Nitrogen Expert Panel has published a Nitrogen Use Indicator (NUE) to encourage efficient use of nitrogen. The indicator can be used to demonstrate how different farming strategies can contribute towards improved NUE. The Funding and Tenders Portal is the single entry point (the Single Electronic Data Interchange Area) for applicants, contractors and experts in funding programmes and procurements managed by the European Commission. The Experts Area Dashboard gives the expert an overview of all information, and allows easy access to their profile, contracts, payments and tasks.
